On the heels of launching a new programming slate and look across EMEA in May, Discovery Travel & Living has recently nabbed several new records in Denmark and Norway.
In June 2009, the network, which focuses on amazing stories of extraordinary lives, achieved a 0.82% share in Norway among the core audience of Women 25-39. In Denmark, Discovery Travel & Living earned its highest share ever (0.33%) among the same target demo. Notably, these audience shares are of all TV-homes, with an even larger proportion of pay-TV homes tuning in to the growing network.
Additionally, the average time viewers spent on Discovery Travel & Living has increased 200% during the first six months of 2009 among Women 25-29 when compared to the same time last year. In June, the positive trend accelerated even further in that average viewing time jumped 292% over May 2009 to 64 minutes. A primary driver of the network's success in both countries is the Saturday primetime slate featuring JON & KATE PLUS 8, SAY YES TO THE DRESS and LA INK.
