Discovery Channel Sets New Record Among Men 25-39 in Denmark

Discovery Channel recorded its highest ever market share among its core audience in Denmark for the week of October 19-25. The channel achieved a 4.87% national market share (all TV-homes) to become the fourth largest commercial channel in Denmark for Men 25-39. These results saw the network overtake its competitor SBS Channel 6, whose aggressive off-air marketing campaign claims to be the only channel for men in Denmark.

Primetime ratings among Men 25-39 were up by 41% during this time period, and the week concluded with a 37% increase in average share in primetime to secure a 4.38% share of the national market (a 5.40% share among pay-TV homes).

The series that performed well with Discovery Channel's core audience of young men during this time included TIME WARP, the new season of AMERICAN CHOPPER, MYTHBUSTERS, DEADLIEST CATCH and EXTREME EXPLOSIONS.
